Custom Manufactured Circuit Breaker Tank Extension for the Power Industry
Knowing full-well our expertise when it comes to welding, fabricating, machining, and testing, the power industry contacted Edgar Industries to deliver top hat-shaped tank extensions for circuit breakers of varying dimensions. Called upon to deliver over 20 in one week including testing, we were more than happy and able to oblige. Using a MAZAK H600 horizontal machining center to completely weld, machine and hydrotest two respective tank extension sizes, we produced one tank extension measuring 12 inches in diameter and one measuring 24 inches; each with a .500-inch wall thickness. Our standards readily met the ASME Section IX Welding, ASME Section VIII.
